Alameda County Family Child Care Coalition
Helping You Make Informed Decisions About Licensed Family Child Care. The Coalition is dedicated to educating our communities, local businesses and legislators about the contributions and challenges of the family child care industry’s workforce and the families and children they serve. Accomplishments include a Family Child Care Media and Advocacy Training Project and Toolkit and a Family Child Care Visibility Tour. Participant representing the Association of Professional Child Care Educators since 2003.

National Association for Family Child Care
As a member of NAFCC, a national association, I have completed the accreditation process, where every aspect of one’s child care is evaluated. Those standards are still practiced today.

Alameda County First Five
This commission, funded by California State’s tobacco tax initiative (Prop 10), promotes, supports and improves early childhood development through family support, parent education, child care development, and health care for families with children from prenatal to age five. Member since 2000.

4 C’s of Alameda County
Providing services to families, children and child care professionals since 1972. Actively participating in the Child Care Food Program, I have been a member since 1989.

California Association of Family Child Care
Dedicated to the Welfare of Children, member since 1993.

California Association for the Education of Young Children
The CAEYC promotes exellence in early childhood education from birth through 8 years. TGFK recently completed the accreditation process sponsored by CAEYC. Member since, 2001.

California Early Childhood Regional Mentor Program
The California Early Childhood Mentor Program is a state-wide effort to improve the quality of child care. We provide training and support for early childhood professionals so that they, in turn, will be able to continue providing high-quality services. I was selected as a Mentor Teacher in November 2005.
